“I stopped waiting for my own numbers.”

Akshay Banthia, Founder of Tredify Life Style, on running a young consumer brand with FinLens.

Tredify is a young brand. We design and sell smart tech accessories, and like most businesses at our stage, we do not have an analytics team or a dashboard person. We have TallyPrime, one accountant, and a lot of decisions to make every single day.

The problem was never that the data did not exist. It was that I could not get to it. If I wanted to know what a party owed us, or how a particular SKU had moved since launch, I had to call my accountant, explain what I wanted, and wait. If he was on leave or in the middle of a filing, I waited longer. And when you are sitting in front of a buyer, waiting is not really an option.

We came across FinLens through RD Paytech. What convinced me was how little it asked of us. Nothing changed in Tally. No new software for my accountant to learn, no re-entry, no export files floating around. Their team installed a small agent on our office machine and that was more or less it. They also walked me through the security side properly, which mattered, because our books are our books and I was not going to open up our system to anything.

Now I ask a question on my phone the way I would ask a person. What is pending from this party. Show me the sales register for last month. Give me the ledger. The answer comes back in a few seconds, and if I need to send it across, it becomes a PDF that I share on WhatsApp right there in the meeting.

Two things changed for us. The first is that I walk into conversations knowing where we stand, instead of promising to check and revert. The second is quieter but just as useful: my accountant is no longer interrupted ten times a day for small reports, so he gets to do the actual accounting.

For a business of our size, that is a real difference, not a marginal one. And whenever we have needed the RD Paytech team, they have picked up the phone.
